      Saka furo

      The “saka furo”, or sake bath was one of the most common beauty treatments of the Japanese Geishas, to maintain their skin soft and smooth. Another property of this bath was its draining effect, the sake is nothing other than the spirit of rice. This cereal in fact is known for its qualities, as it firms up and regulates the backs and the intestine. To strengthen its effect you can add a drop of essential ginger oil, mixed with a carrier oil, to the water. The sake bath is excellent even for men, thanks to its relaxing and purifying properties. During this kind of bath the person is sweating liberating the body from toxins.
