      The nettle is known for its purifying, tonic, diuretic, depurative, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, anti-dandruff, vase constricting, hemostatic, tone-up, alkalinizing, lactogenic, moisturizing, anti-diabetes, astringent and anti- inflammatory effects. It is a real classic of herbalist’s shop known form the Middle Age because of its official benefits. During these epoch, the fibre of this plant were filtered, because they constituted an excellent alternative to hemp and linen. Later the nettle fibre cloth become a valid alternative to cotton.

      The nettle are used in form of decoction to rinse hair with dandruff, cure too strong menstrual flux, of contrast anemia, during convalescence, during malnutrition periods, loss of appetite and nervous breakdown, because the leaves are rich in mineral salt. Thanks to its high contain of detoxifying qualities, the nettle is used to heal cystitis, arthritis, gout, gravel, kidney stones, rheumatic problems, hyper acidity of organism, colitis, dysentery or cholera. The leaves of this plant are rich in tannins, phosphor, chlorophyll, iron, calcium, magnesium, silicon, folic acid, vitamin A,C and K. Nettle is used in case of acne, eczema and hair loss. Further disorders that can be healed with nettle ate obesity, different kinds of enteritis, physical and psychical breakdown, tendinitis, burns, insect stings, distortions, sciatica, hemorrhoids, gout and kidney stones. Nettle can be found as decoction, infusions, mother tincture, fresh juice, lotions, compresses, ointment, but can also be cooked as a normal vegetable…in order to give flavor to meat, eggs, pasta and rice. Nettle is picked up with gloves, after it is boiled in order to neutralize and cut as a normal aromatic herb. The root of nettle is also used to reduce the prostatic hypertrophy. If the nettle leaves are boiled, they help to cicatrize wounds, while the fresh juice is excellent to cure acne and oily skin.
