      Anise is a common spice in the Mediterranean countries, it contains the following vitamins: A, several vitamins of the group B,C,D,E and F. Many know it in the form of liqueur. Anise is also available in the form of a tea, to stimulate the milk production, moreover it has calming and laxative effects, especially helpful in case of headache or congestion. If drunken by nursing mothers, the anise gives the milk a better taste and helps the baby to sleep.

      This spice stimulates the digestion, in India it’s always offered after a meal. Moreover it combats meteorism, stimulates the peristalsis and it’s an excellent mucolytic and expectorant remedy.
