Even Plinius, Martial and Titus Livius wrote about these localities. Moreover Abano Terme is connected to literature as in a suburb of the city Ugo Foscolo wrote his work „The last letters of Jacopo Ortis“.


      Other tourist destinations, in which visitors can find a health resort Veneto are: Garda, located on the homonymous lake and especially visited by Germans and tourists from Arabba in the Dolomites. Arabba belongs to the skiing area “Dolomiti Superski”, which represents the largest and most modern skiing region of the world. Some years ago the region of Veneto was priced with the nomination “Italy in one single region”, as here visitors can find everything: the Sea, mountains, wellness and art…In Veneto there is located the famous university town Padova, which belongs to the oldest ones in the Occident, the lagoon city Venice- popular because of the Venice Film Festival, Vicenza- the city of the Palladium and Verona- the most visited city of Italy, this city forms the setting of the world famous love story of Romeo and Juliet. Moreover the Veneto region offers numerous thermal destinations as for instance Abano Terme, Montegrotto Terme, Recoaro Terme and others in the mountains. The popular ski resort Cortina d’Ampezzo was the setting of the Olympic winter games 1956 and of numerous movies like “Cliffhanger” or “James Bond”.

    • Garda is located on the popular Lake Garda, which offers a singular and picturesque landscape. In Punta San Vigilio famous personalities like Sir Lawrence Oliver and his wife Vivien Leigh, Winston Churchill, the Russian tsar Alexander I. and the prince Carl from England spent their lake holidays.

    • Arabba is a ski resort of the Dolomites and belongs to the famous skiing area “Dolomiti Superski”, which is the largest of the world. The locality is a perfect starting point for the Alpine skitour “Sella Ronda”, which conducts around the noted Sella- massif.

    • Abano Terme is a popular thermal destination, but even of great historical importance. Here was established the “Comando Supremo” of the Italian army during the First World War. Trekking fans can enjoy the Eurganean Hills, the landscape offers singular impressions.

    • This small city borders to Abano Terme and represents a further thermal destination in Veneto. Moreover the city offers numerous places of interest like “The butterfly house”, the international museum of glass and of hot springs. Furthermore in the surroundings there are produced precious wines and oils.
